Pat Barton.

I am a visual artist, inspired by the beauty and the patterns, of our lives—the things that make us smile or think. My fine art prints include both traditional and nontraditional printing techniques.

Printmaking as Placemaking at LHUCA

If you are near Lubbock, Texas, this spring, check out LHUCA’s juried exhibition Printmaking as Placemaking in which the environment, immigration, and cultural identity are at the forefront of printmaking. My print Footnotes was accepted in the show: on a side street in New Orleans after Katrina, a window full of foot and leg gear expressed a very real sense of what was happened — something sinister but also funny.

The show will be on view April 4 — May 31, 2025.
